Committed to creating integrated, smart, and moral leaders, the Student Affairs Bureau at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) pushed leader candidates of campus organizations to their fullest leadership capacity at the 2022 Leadership Coaching Refreshing. 

The coaching, participated by 185 students, mainly consisted of leader candidates of various campus organizations and the awardees of the College Indonesia Smart Card (KIP-K) scholarships. In addition, roughly 55 committees were directing and leading the participants. All the participants were seen complying with the health protocol at the Harda Walika camping ground, Gunung Pati, Semarang. The event lasted for three days from October 7th to 9th, 2022.

Valentina Widya, S.SS., M.Hum ., the Head of the Talent and Interest Section in the Student Affairs Bureau at Udinus, stated that all participants were divided into nine groups and would strive their way through seven different posts to resolve various problems and games surrounding leadership matters. 

“Pelatihan di alam terbuka dengan latar outbond ini kami lakukan sebagai cara untuk mempererat solidaritas antar mahasiswa. Diharapkan mahasiswa bisa saling berkomunikasi, bersinergi dan bersama-sama menjadi pemimpin yang baik,” ungkapnya.

At the finale, the whole student affairs team at Udinus and the committee were gathered to see talent performances showcased by participants. At that moment, every participant sat surrounding a bonfire to solidify the relationships between one another.

Dr. Kusni Ingsih, M.M., the Vice Chancellor III of Student Affairs, explained that the 2022 Leadership Coaching Refreshing was a shorter and less demanding version of the regular Leadership Coaching. Despite being different from the past two years, the learning materials and the coaching itself were almost identical. 

“Untuk tahun ini kami persingkat menjadi satu hari yang biasanya diselenggarakan tiga hari. Mahasiswa KIP-K juga kami libatkan agar mereka selalu ikut serta di kegiatan Udinus,” tutupnya. (Humas Udinus/Alex. Foto: Dok. Bima)
