Upon designing an e-billing system app for locals’ water consumption, a Student Strengthening Capacity (PPKO) team consisting of Management students at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro launched an app known as Tirtanadi. The app was launched on Wednesday, October 6th, 2022, and aimed at the locals of Kalisdi.
The app was designed by fourteen students who were members of the Management Student Association (HMM) at Udinus. Tirtanadi was developed as a response to the manual data collecting method employed by visiting locals’ homes one by one to charge the water billing in West Ungaran Sub-district.
The launching was symbolically conducted by the Vice Chancellor III of Student Affairs at Udinus. On that occasion, she was accompanied by Dr. Yulita Setiawanta. S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA., CPA., CSRA., (the Vice Dean of the Economics and Business Faculty at Udinus) and Dr. Mahmud, S.E., M.M., (the Head of the Undergraduate Management Department at Udinus).
The Supervising Instructor for this project, Suhita Whini Setyahuni, S.E., M.Ak., explained that the launching of Tirtanadi served as a way to introduce the locals of Kalisdi to the app. The MoU signing also took place, with the Chief of Kasildi signing the MoU. This marked the beginning of collaboration between Kasildi and the Economics and Business Faculty at Udinus.
“This collaboration is conducted for our PPKO team to occasionally monitor the progress of our app. Moreover, we can oversee the problems emerging in other sectors as well through this collaboration,” he explained.
At the launching procession, several prominent figures made an appearance, namely, Dimas Prayitno Putra (the Chief of Kasildi Village), Drs. Lalu Muhammad Maladi., (the Head Subdistrict of West Ungaran), and Retna Prasetijawati, S.H., M.M.., (the Head of the Village Empowerment Service).
Dimas Prayitno Putra hoped for Tirtanadi to inflict positive impacts on the water management agency, allowing clean water management to be more efficient and effective. Additionally, the app also allows the locals to be informed concerning the monthly water bills.
“With this app, we also hope for the locals to be more aware of technology. Thus, they can keep up with the currently happening technological advancement, allowing them to utilize technology in various kinds of situations,” he concluded.
The app was designed specifically to be user-friendly, and equipped with various main features, including information on water billing and reminders to pay the water bills. This app also records the names of the users, as well as data indicating water consumption. This data is available to see anywhere and anytime. (Humas Udinus/Haris. Foto: Dok. FEB)
