Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) established a vaccination post to commemorate the 77th Anniversary of Indonesia and to quickly spread the COVID-19 vaccines. The vaccination ran well and safely, with the involvement of several volunteers.

In addition to vaccination, Udinus also offered medical check-ups for children under the age of 15. These check-ups include physical check-ups, blood sugar check-ups with a total quota of 50 people, and medical consult. The check-ups were offered at the Non-contagious Diseases Central Post at Udinus. Notably, there were roughly 70 patients comprised of students, faculties, and locals got their vaccines at Udinus.

The Polyclinic Head, dr. Anggoro Dhana Octavian, stated that the first day out of four days of the vaccination ran well without any technical issues. On this occasion, patients could get the first, second, and third vaccinations. According to Anggoro, Udinus had always been ready to help the government to provide a location to quickly spread the vaccines within Semarang City.  “The patients were seen being vaccinated in an orderly manner, with the entire series of events going well. Hopefully, both the locals and students can utilize our facility to get their bodies vaccinated here at Udinus. Anyone can come to us by showing their printed copies of ID cards to get vaccinated,” Anggoro explained.

Udinus is among ten universities chosen by the city government to be the central locations of vaccination. The vaccination will open from late July to early August of 2022. Specifically, 21st and 28th of July, as well as 4th and 11th of August.

Meanwhile, one of the patients, Gita, admitted that the vaccination program was helpful. In addition, she also stated that the given service was remarkable.

“I am satisfied with this vaccination as the location is close enough to where I live. The entire vaccination process was quick and handled by friendly volunteers,” she concluded. (Humas Udinus/Alex. Foto: Humas Udinus)
