Lena Aurumia Songraya, an Undergraduate Public Health student at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus), has always been possessing a caring personality toward the general public by participating in the 2022 Planned Generation Ambassador event (Genre) in Central Java.
Lena won second place in the 2022 Genre Ambassador Selection in Central Java. Through that competition, she competed with other 35 contestants hoping to be a role model to teenagers.
“Being a role model means that you could encourage teenagers to plan their lives early and intensely,” Lena, a student in her second semester, said.
She explained that the Genre Ambassador played a part in encouraging teenagers to plan their lives in advance with maximum effort in order to reach a brighter future without free sex, early marriages, and misuse of narcotics.
During her participation in the Genre Ambassador event, Lena, born on October 16th, 2002, had been going through selection tests including a written test, an interest and talent test, an interview test, and a counseling test. She got the chance to showcase her skill in combining traditional dances, dramas, and modern dances throughout the test.
Representing Semarang in this regional event was such a pride-inducing and priceless experience as I encountered many ups and downs in the course of this event,” Lena revealed.
In addition to her competent nature, Lena, the winner of Fkes Got Talent in the 2021 Dinus Inside, also owned an innovative website named Teenagers Education Media (Medusa). The educative website platform could be accessed through mediaedukasiremaja.website. Medusa mainly targets teenagers to help them in planning their futures.
“This website is my contribution to utilizing digital media in the 4.0 industry, not only does it give information and insight to teenagers, but Medusa also introduce them to the digital world in such a positive way,” Lena explained.
Lena was also an active member of the ‘Rumah Sahabat’ Student Activity Unit as a member of the entrepreneurship division. She said that the Department of Public Health was well-equipped with facilities and infrastructures as well as communicative lecturers.
“As a Public Health student, I think the Department of Public Health offers many courses aligning with the Genre Ambassador. Udinus also possesses various Student Activity Units that are in accordance with each study program,” said the owner of the @leena.asr Instagram account.
