Turning a hobby into a business is a pleasant thing to do. Nadia Amalia Zen (20) did exactly this through her ‘ARTCRILIK’ products established in 2017.

Nadia, an Accounting student at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus), is currently pursuing her entrepreneurial passion through her business, ‘Artcrilik Souvenir.’ She revealed that she established this business as a freshman with her painting and drawing hobbies as its foundation. “I saw the business opportunity back when I took the Entrepreneurship course in the first semester. Upon participating in the Creanovative Entrepreneur, I realized that the event attracted many students leading them to get accomplishments through that event,” Nadia revealed.

According to Nadia, it takes a sheer amount of hard work to open a business, such as by participating in entrepreneurial competitions in many places. Her market mainly targets big corporations, government agencies, and hotels, with social media as the main platform to advertise her products. “I commonly market the Artcrillik Souvenirs through my Instagram account, @artcrillik_souvenir; you can visit the account if you are interested, or you could just come to my address at Lamongan Raya Street, No.33, Sampangan, Semarang,” Nadia, born on March 29, 1999, in Semarang, uttered.

Currently, Nadia could gather up to Rp. 10 million in monthly turnover with many clients, including Udinus, Semarang Authorities, the Regent of Kendal, and various universities and boarding schools. “It takes flexibility to offer custom products, and the products must also match with the requested design. We often offer the client many different options as a form of our dedicated service,” she shared.

In her twenty years of age, she became successful in developing a business while still focusing on her studies. So far, Nadia has not encountered any problem in allocating her time for work and campus activities, as it has essentially become a responsibility of hers. As a business owner, designer, and marketeer, Nadia wished for her products to be more widely trusted by the public. “At Udinus, I gathered much knowledge including financial management and time management, both of which are compatible with my business.
