Competing at the scientific paper contest (LKTI) is one of Sinta’s efforts to improve her soft skills such as problem-solving, analytical thinking, and critical thinking. The undergraduate student of Industrial Engineering at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) has currently accomplished several achievements in the scientific work sector.

Sinta Wulandari revealed that, other than gaining experience she can also uphold the positive image of Campus at the national level. Since her latest achievement was taking fourth place at LKTI Genesis 2021 organized in one of the institutes in Purwokerto. Which came after competing against 11 colleges across Indonesia.

Born in Semarang on August 3rd, 2000, Sinta excelled in providing optimal solutions for issues faced by small and medium enterprises (UMKM) during the event. Alongside her friend, Kevin Maulana Afriyanto, they created the scientific work entitled ‘Smart Monitoring Realtime Structure of the Zero-Waste System Production Quality toward the Tofu Business Equipped with the Sustainably Integrated IoT-Based System’.

“This paper is intended to assist UMKM during the 'new normal' phase (post Covid-19 pandemic) in finding solutions through the utilization of digital technology from the 4.0 Industrial Revolution, especially in attaining the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG),” explained Sinta.

Despite gaining a ton of experience in that field she acknowledged that there would always be challenges to address. Particularly, she found it challenging to find the right solution to be included in her papers.

She continued with the general issues like finding the correct reference resource to support the offered solution. “Usually, I overcome this kind of problem by making it very detailed starting from the structure of the problem until finding the solution based on the right source,” stated Sinta.

Sinta who also actively took part in organizations was not hesitant to consult with her academic advisor. She felt comfortable with the atmosphere on the Campus of Udinus. Specifically with the advice given by her fellow students including lecturers as well.

Based on her opinion, the positive environment on the campus became one of the main factors to enhance students’ quality. “I hope this achievement serves as tangible proof that students should embrace competition, continually gather experience, and learn while still in the student phase,” encouraged Sinta.
