As a step toward establishing the Medicine Faculty, Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) hosted technical guidance with a teaching hospital. The technical guidance was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Health in the theater room located on the sixth floor of the I building on Wednesday, May 5th, 2023.

The event was attended by 46 participants from various academic and medical institutions. Additionally, the Chancellor of Udinus, Prof. Dr. Ir. Edi Noersasongko, M.Kom., alongside Prof. Dr. Supriadi Rustad, M.Si.(the Vice Chancellor I of Academic Affairs), Dr. Guruh Fajar Shidik, S.Kom., M.Cs., (the Vice Chancellor II of Financial and General Affairs), Dr. Pulung Nurtantion Andono, S.T., M.Kom., (the Vice Chancellor IV of Research and Partnership Affairs, and Dr. Ir. Dwi Eko Waluyo, M.M., (the Head of Partnership and International Affairs Bureau) were also present.

Moreover, the event was also participated by a representative from the Directorate General of Governance at the Ministry of Health, the Director of Governance in the TS Education at the Ministry of Health, staff from the Indonesian Teaching Hospital Association (ITHA), and an Accessor from the Indonesian Medical Educational Institution.

The Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ir. Edi Noersasongko, M.Kom., stated that the guidance was essential to fulfill the form of the Medicine Faculty, which would be established soon. Furthermore, he also revealed that the guidance from the hospital accessor was inherently crucial so that the hospital integrated with the Medicine Faculty could soon become a teaching hospital. 

“Hopefully, this event could make us one step ahead toward the establishment of the Medicine Faculty. With the formation of a teaching hospital integrated with the Medicine Faculty, the needed forms would be more complete,” he explained.

On the same occasion, the agreement of a Memorandum of Understanding would also occur with the Panti Wilasa Citarum Hospital and the dr. Gunawan Mangunkusumo Hospital. This partnership mainly consisted of education and health services within a hospital network.

Prof. Dr. Supriadi Rustad, M.Si., one of the Task Force Team members of the Medicine Faculty, described many things surrounding the Medicine Faculty to the audience. The Medicine Faculty possessed the vision to hold an international reputation, particularly in the field of sociopreneurship. By combining informatics and entrepreneurship, the Medicine Faculty will strive for this distinctive characteristic.

“Furthermore, our mission is to create a conducive academic atmosphere in implementing the Tri Dharma philosophy. Hopefully, my explanation could help the accessor in getting new viewpoints,” he concluded.

The PMK Socialization No. 31 of 2022 regarding Implementing Regulations and No. 93 of 2015 regarding Teaching Hospitals was also a topic of discussion conveyed by the representative from the Governance of Medical Services. At the end of the event, there was a parallel session to establish the teaching hospital presented by the Ministry of Health, the Indonesian Teaching Hospital Association, and the Indonesian Medical Educational Institution.
