Academic visitation to an institution concerning a particular field of expertise is indeed an effective way for students to learn. Recently, 17 students of the Economics and Business Faculty at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) conducted a visitation in the Business Faculty at the Multimedia University (MMU) of Melaka.

Those 17 students consisted of two Undergraduate Management students, fourteen Postgraduate Management students, and a Doctoral Management student.

As the coordinator of this visitation, Dr. Yohan Wismantoro, S.E., M.M. (the Head of the Postgraduate Management Department), explained that the activity aimed at students to gain insight concerning international matters. Additionally, it also served as a way for both Udinus and the MMU of Melaka to improve the quality of their partnership, which encompassed student exchange, faculty exchange, group research, and many more.

“Through this visitation, students could expand their insight even further from lecturers of the MMU of Melaka, as well as expanding their connections on an international scale with other students within this institution,” he revealed.

There were also several facilities those students were allowed to use, including the IBiz Lab, the Hybrid Classroom, SHDL, Rimbun Ilmu, the CLC Classroom, and the President Square.

At the visitation, the students from Udinus were warmly welcomed by the Head of International Affairs in the Business Faculty at the MMU of Melaka, Dr. Afandi Yusof. Moreover, he was also accompanied by Dr. Ng Tuan Hock (the Vice Dean of Academic and International Affairs), Dr. Yeo Sook Fern (the Vice Dean of Industrial Partnership and Research Affairs), and Dr. Siti Zakiah Bt Melatu Samsi (the Vice Dean of Student and Alumni Affairs).

This educational visitation is expected to strengthen the bonds between two parties, not only faculty but also students. Through their cultural distinctions, students from both institutions could also expand their views in making academic decisions.

“Through this visitation, we gladly welcomed all delegations from the Economics and Business Faculty at Udinus to visit our faculty, the Business Faculty at the MMU of Melaka. Hopefully, this visitation could ultimately benefit both parties in the future,” Dr. Afandi Yusof (the Head of International Affairs in the Business Faculty at the MMU of Melaka) concluded.
