In Indonesia, startup industry development keeps rapidly improving as the digital era advances. Not only that but in the near future, big data and analytics also bear important roles in their development. Gojek’s Data Scientist, Alamsyah Koto Hanza shared his knowledge and experiences in big data and analytic fields for roughly 4 years.
On that occasion, he, one of a team from Gojek, explained that Big Data Analytics might give the students some benefits so that the start-up Industries were able to compete. Big Data Analytics could also be utilized to gather and analyze big-scaled data from consumers.
“In our opinion, every start-up business owner must be able to think analytically as a step to cut complex problems into several pieces so that it’s easy to manage. Not only that, but Big Data Analysis also links to several other things,” Alamsyah explained.
Alamsyah said that problem-solving could be done by doing several steps. Those steps were identifying the problems beforehand, then gathering information, and evaluating evidence. After all those steps were done, we should develop appropriate solutions for the problems.
“Those who work in the analytic field need to spare their time to comprehend the ongoing problems before they take action. By utilizing this ability, we will be able to interpret data until the decision is made in the startup industry,” he enlightened in front of the 258 participants of the National Seminar of Information System 2023.
Not only did they invite a Data Scientist from Gojek, but They also invited a Data Scientist from Telkomsel called Afif Akbar Iskandar, S.Si, M.Kom. He gave an in-depth explanation of the influence and the transformation of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence in the Business sector to all of the participants.
