Two table tennis athletes of Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) became champions at the Indonesian Table Tennis League, claiming victory against foreign athletes from different countries. The achievements were accomplished by the undergraduate students of the Management Study Program at Udinus, on Tuesday, June 4th, 2023.

Siti Aminah secured the top spot in the Women's Inter-Master Category by winning over an Indian athlete. She clinched victory with a score of 3-2 after a rigorous final match. Whereas Cindy Marcella Putri also stood in third place in the same category.

The girl who is usually called Aminah admitted that she was proud to win at the most prestigious table tennis competition in Indonesia. She credited her success to her coach and the whole academic community of Udinus for supporting her to be a champion.

“Nevertheless, this achievement doesn’t satisfy me enough and it won’t stop me to work harder to gain more accomplishment not only in the national competition but also in the international level,” commented Aminah.

One of the most fascinating things about Aminah is her unwavering determination to cultivate her mind, propelling herself towards the peak without any hesitation. Based on her opinion, during the competition, each of her opponents had their excess, and one of the major keys to be the best was a winning mentality.

“Other than emotional practice, I diligently engaged in regular training sessions with my coach, encompassing technical drills and even physical exercises, following the guidance provided by my coach. On top of that, I usually spent more time practicing if there is one or two things that I need to learn,” said Aminah, born in Kediri, on June 24th, 2003.

Vice Rector III Students’ Affairs Sector, Dr. Kusni Ingsih, MM., expressed her pride toward the brilliant students who undertook the competition. She hoped that the achievement could serve as an advocate for other students to succeed in their respective sectors.

“We are proud of their achievements. The way they defeated athletes from all around the world shows how amazing they are. We will always support our students by giving them proper facilities and scholarships to strive more at the national and even international level. (Udinus Public Relation/Haris. Photo: Personal Doc)
