THREE MALAYSIAN UNIVERSITIES VISITED UDINUS TO STRENGTHEN THEIR COLLABORATION WITH FOREIGN UNIVERSITIES

Following a recent visit from neighboring Malaysia, Universitas Dian Nuswantoro’s Faculty of Health Science (Fkes) strengthened the collaboration by organizing an internal workshop. The workshop focused on research-sharing and learning innovation which involved six professors from Malaysian Universities.

Four of the professors namely, Prof. Ir. Dr. Mohammad Fadhli bin Ahmad, Prof Ts. Dr. Nora Aini Binti Haji Ali, Prof. Dr. Noor Maizura binti Mohammad Noor and Dr. Maharani Abu Bakar, were from Universiti Malysia Terengganu. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Faeezah binti Shahbodin represented Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka. The other professor, Assoc Prof. Dr. Rohayu binti Abdul Ghani was from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.

The workshop spanned a day and was organized with parallel sessions on the fifth and sixth floors of the I Building’s hall, Udinus. Several lecturers from various faculties also attended the educational conference.

The event, centered around the theme of 'Internal Joint Workshop and Strengthening Collaboration,' was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Pulung Nurtantio Andono, S.T., M.Kom, Vice-Chancellor IV of the Research and Corporation Sector. On that occasion, he reaffirmed his commitment to continuously improve and strengthen the collaboration between Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) and foreign Universities.

He expressed his gratitude to the six professors representing three Malaysian universities for selecting Udinus as a collaborative partner in the field of education. The workshop and research-sharing conference served as a gateway for fostering a strong partnership between Udinus and these foreign universities from Malaysia.

“The collaboration includes not only research but also various other aspects that provide valuable opportunities for students as well. This conference is also our form of movement in embodying Udinus as a World Class university,” Uttered Prof. Pulung.

Enny Rachmani SKM, M.Kom., Ph.D., Dean Faculty of Health Science Udinus, explained that the visitation program from Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, and Universiti Malaysia Terengganu was initiated by the Malaysian Government.

All three Universities were invited to collaborate with several Universities in Indonesia including Udinus. They were drawn to Udinus due to its high-quality education and several compelling research projects, which led to their visit.

She stated “It is an honor for us to hold this conference. Hopefully, the relationship between Udinus and Malaysian Universities will become tighter. The materials that were given were amazing as well.”

For a day, six professors presented lectures at the conference, which featured parallel sessions. The sub-themes of the conference were 'Research Sharing and Discussion about Teaching and Learning Innovation' and 'Talent Management Talk and Discussion.

Prof. Ir. Dr. Mohammad Fadhli bin Ahmad, Associated Professor from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), expressed his appreciation for the welcoming nuance from Udinus. He was looking forward to the future collaboration in developing research between Udinus and UMT as well as two other Malaysian Universities.
