Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) inaugurated all student organizations on campus. The inauguration, participated by the newly elected leaders of their respective organization, was led by the chancellor alongside the student affairs team marking the beginning of the 2023/2024 administration period.
The position handover from the organization chairmen for the 2022/2023 period to the 2023/2024 chairmen was done symbolically. The event was marked by the event document signatory and the handover of each organization’s flag, represented by the Student Legislative Council (DPM-KM) and the Student Executives from each faculty.
During the event, 14 Student Governments, 22 Student Activity Units, 13 communities, 16 Student Associations, and 12 Student Bureaus were officially inaugurated.
On that occasion, Prof. Dr. Ir. Edi Noersasongko, M.Kom. (the Chancellor) gave a greeting and perused the inauguration script. Additionally, the chancellor expressed his gratitude to the former organization administrators for creating such a cozy atmosphere on campus resulting in students could attend lectures and grasping many achievements securely. Prof. Edi also warned the students to carefully type and filter information on the internet before sharing it.
“Let us develop good habits and dispose of bad habits from the former administrators to the new ones. Therefore, we could create a friendly atmosphere enjoyed by the whole academic community at Udinus,” he uttered.
Afterward, those 77 student organizations were symbolically elected individually by the Chancellor accompanied by the Vice Chancellor III of the Student Affairs Sector, Dr. Kusni Ingsih, M.M. Meanwhile, the activist promise was read by the newly appointed Student President, which was participated by all student organizations chairmen accompanied by their respective instructors.
Dr. Kusni encouraged the newly inaugurated organization administrators to not only prioritize the student activities but also prioritize activities that may benefit the general public to hone the administrators’ soft skills.
“In the upcoming years, the student organizations at Udinus will have improved by not causing any disturbance. Furthermore, our countless national and international accomplishments may convince the general public to continue their study at Udinus,” she concluded.
