Improving both soft skills and hard skills is essential before embarking on a professional career according to Andika Dwi Prasetyo. With his persistence in learning new things, Andika, an alumnus of the Information System Study Program at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro, is currently working as an Assistant Vice President Department AML-CFT and Compliance Risk in the Compliance Division at Pegadaian Ltd.

“With this position, I am in charge of implementing APU, PPT, and PPPSPM programs and managing the company’s compliance risk,” he explained.

To get that position, Andika had to go through many processes. In 2009, he began his career there as a cashier who mainly engaged in payment. Having no desire to concede, Andika, born in Pekalongan in 1985, decided to participate in a training and education program as an estimator until 2017.

“Subsequently, I was given the opportunity to carry a bigger responsibility by joining the risk management division at the headquarters until 2020. In early 2021, I was dispatched to the Compliance Division, which lasts to this day. This is truly a brand-new challenge and experience for me,” he explained.

In addition to improving skills, Andika, born in 1985, added that trying new things was crucial as the future could not be precisely predicted.

“During my time working there, I implemented various skills, knowledge, and experiences I got during my time at the Department of Information Systems at Udinus,” Andika admitted.

Furthermore, Andika encouraged the students to pursue their dreams.

“Listing long-term and short-term plans, as well as honing soft and hard skills, are two things you need to do to face the dynamics of modern industry. Additionally, constantly praying and asking parental approval may also help,” he concluded.
