Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) provided a platform for new students to learn more about the Student Organizations and Units on the campus. The platform was embodied through ‘the 2023 Dinus Expo’ located at the volleyball court at Udinus on September 5 to 6, 2023.
Dinus Expo served as a part of a bigger event called Dinus Inside, which was enlivened by roughly 37 student organizations and unit stands. These beautifully decorated stands aimed to promote their causes in order to attract new members. In addition, ten student business stands also made an appearance to market their meal products.
The 2023 Dinus Expo Supervisor, Falih Patria Fatahilah explained that the event was intended to introduce the newly enrolled students to dozens of student organizations and units. Every faculty would be allowed to visit the expo according to their respective schedule. This scheduling was done to prevent the unorganized crowd at the expo.
“On the first day, we allowed four faculties to visit the expo namely the Humanities Faculty, the Engineering Faculty, the Economics and Business Faculty, and the Health Science Faculty. On the second day, we will permit the Computer Science Faculty to visit as there are more new students in this faculty,” he explained.
Furthermore, he added that this expo might serve as a platform for student organizations and units to popularize their groups on the campus. “Hopefully, all student organizations and units could attract the freshmen to join,” he uttered.
Alvian Rahma Putra, an English Language freshman, revealed that the 2023 Dinus Expo could give him ideas regarding the student organizations and units scattered around the campus. Through this expo, the new students could also consider which organization and unit to join.
“I really wish to join a student organization or unit according to my passion and become active on campus,” he concluded. (Humas Udinus/Ika. Foto: Humas Udinus)
