A band named Kotak successfully delivered a phenomenal performance captivating 3,517 freshmen at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus). The song ‘Beraksi’ sung by Tantri, Chua, and Cella marked the closing of the 2023 Dinus Inside.
The rock music performance presented by Tantri Syalindri, Swasti Sabdastantri, and Mario Marcella triumphantly induced energy inside the freshmen, upon participating in that three-day event. Ten songs were sung by this group band during their second appearance at Udinus, prior to this they were guest stars at the 2016 Dinus Inside.
The song famously known as ‘Pelan-Pelan Saja’ mesmerized the new students. Despite being released in 2010, the audience could still sing along out loud. Not only did they perform old songs but Kotak also delivered new ones such as ‘Budak Konten.’
During her interview prior to performing, the vocalist, Tantri Syalindri, claimed that she was enthusiastic and glad to enliven the Dinus Night Festival. That was because the freshmen at Udinus were tempestuous, pushing her to give the best performance possible.
“They are full of energy and those energies radiating from the freshmen encourage us to deliver our best performance,” Tantri revealed.
Tantri also congratulated all new students at Udinus for entering their new stage in life, namely the college life. Additionally, she encouraged them to pursue their dreams.
“It is about time for all of you to get into the college phase, and do your best to achieve your desired dreams. Keep your energies up, the freshmen of Udinus!” Tantri hoped.
The Vice Chancellor III of Student Affairs, Dr. Kusni Ingsih, M.M., expressed her appreciation toward the general public for trusting Udinus as a college institution. To convey their gratitude to the new students, Udinus invited a group band from the capital city to lighten up the Dinus Night Festival.
“Let us gather and enjoy a music performance presented by a group band from Jakarta. The new students as well as the organizers of Dinus Inside may listen to every musical piece delivered by Kotak,” she said.
Currently, Udinus has accepted a total of 3517 new students consisting of 1645 Computer Science Faculty Students, 725 Economics and Business Faculty Students, 165 Humanities Faculty Students, 393 Medical Science Faculty Students, 228 Engineering Faculty Students, 50 Medicine Faculty Students, 172 Students at Kediri Campus, and 139 Postgraduate students.
