Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) officially inaugurated thousands of students of the 2023/2024 cohort from 38 different provinces in Indonesia. This campus introduction session marked the first offline Dinus Inside after the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The students were symbolically inaugurated by the Chancellor through student representatives from six different faculties at Udinus. Currently, Udinus has accepted a total of 3517 students consisting of 1645 Computer Science Faculty Students, 725 Economics and Business Faculty Students, 165 Humanities Faculty Students, 393 Health Science Faculty Students, 228 Engineering Faculty Students, 50 Medicine Faculty Students, 172 Students at Kediri Campus, and 139 Postgraduate students.
The theme of 2023 Dinus Inside is ‘Shaping Students at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro Equipped with Integrity, Intelligence, and Characters.’ The opening ceremony and the event were held at the G building’s court on Monday, September 4, 2023.
During his speech at the 2023 Dinus Inside, the Chancellor at Udinus, Prof. Dr. Ir. Edi Noersasongko, M.Kom, expressed his appreciation toward Central Java and the whole nation for trusting Udinus. As a matter of fact, thousands of students at Udinus came from various regions across the nation.
“This proves that Udinus is a university trusted both nationally and internationally. Currently, Udinus is accredited as ‘Superior,’ this speaks volumes about our quality in the academic sector,” The Chancellor uttered.
The Chancellor also introduced the newly inaugurated students to various innovations created by students and lecturers at Udinus such as the Sekar Nuswantoro Gamelan Robot, the Udinus Campus Electric Pedicab (Becik-KU), and the Udinus Campus Chess Robot (Roca-KU).
“Those creations could also serve as final assignments since they could provide beneficial uses to the public. I hereby persuade the new students to produce more and more creative innovations that may benefit the future of our beloved nation,” he added.
On that occasion, several foreign working partners namely The Split University from Croatia and Goethe Institut from Germany were also present. They encouraged students to participate in the mobility program so they would not be hesitant to study abroad. Therefore, they could gain new perspectives and insight to develop students’ abilities resulting in a better future.
Prof. Dr. Supriadi Rustad, M.Si, the Vice Rector I of the Academic Sector, welcomed the newly enrolled students. Prof. Supriadi Rustad persuaded students to better themselves by becoming more faithful and well-educated. Additionally, he motivated them to hold a high level of integrity and become more helpful to their respective family and nation.
