Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) with the Ministry of Cooperative and SMEs hosted a business mentoring workshop and a student entrepreneurial capacity improvement. The event hosted in the form of an entrepreneur hub was organized to shape the entrepreneurial mindset and mentality within the future entrepreneurs who would face the competition in the global market.
The event was opened directly by the Deputy of the Entrepreneurial Affairs at the Ministry of Cooperative and SMEs, Ir. Siti Azizah, MBA, with Dr. Kusni Ingsih, M.M., the Vice Chancellor III of the Student Affairs. The workshop was inaugurated in the theater room on the seventh floor of the H building at Udinus. The event was participated by students from Udinus and from various universities in Indonesia with ‘Entrepreneurship by Design, The Future of Indonesia,’ as the theme.
On that occasion, Dr. Kusni stated that the hub was a remarkable activity, which was in line with the campus vision, namely being the prominent choice in the field of education and entrepreneurship with tons of accomplishments achieved by the young entrepreneurs on campus.
“We also routinely produce talented young entrepreneurs, and through this event, the students are expected to convey and develop their brilliant business ideas,” she stated.
This event was the continuation of the entrepreneurial development program hosted since March 2023. As additional information, according to the data published by the Startup Ranking, Indonesia is included in the top 6 countries with the most startups, with at least a total of 2390 startups 2390.
Ir. Siti Azizah, MBA further added that this event involved a hundred participants, curated and incubated by the Entrepreneurial Teams at Udinus and Hub. The event served as a platform for students to shape their entrepreneurial mindset and mentality.
“They will later be instructed to compete in the middle of the global market. This is because the current young generation possesses higher capabilities and opportunities to do so,” she emphasized.
In the university’s incubator, there is a function known as practice entrepreneur functioning as a platform for future entrepreneurs to make their way to the next level, the become an entrepreneur level. Therefore, the Entrepreneur Hub was conducted with the purpose of supporting this platform. Additionally, the hub also aimed to provide an environment, with the sole purpose of pushing the entrepreneurial development in which they could access the resources more easily and learn how to be an entrepreneur without any hesitation.
