The Library Unit at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) was visited by the library assessor team from the Service of Archive and Library of Central Java. The visitation with the theme ‘University Libraries Accreditation Surveillance of the Central Java Region’ took place on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, in the Library Room located on the second floor of A building.
The visitation aimed to maintain the library’s quality, particularly at Udinus. The Central Java Authorities routinely conduct visits to libraries in various regions and universities in an attempt to maintain their appropriateness.
Additionally, this activity also served as a trigger for Udinus to keep improving the quality and human resources of its library.
The Head Librarian, Aan Prabowo, S.Hum., MA., explained that the surveillance team would inspect various aspects, including documents, interviews, and evaluations. “The inspection was conducted to understand how the campus serves the academic community, including faculty members, students, and other visitors,” he explained.
Aan continued that evaluation was done in order to improve several crucial aspects, such as facilities, collections, services, infrastructures, librarians, and budgets. “Hopefully, we could be accredited as A for the next reaccreditation and could give our best services,” he revealed.
The surveillance was attended by twelve people, five of whom were the assessors from the Services of Archive and Library of Central Java, namely Sarjono, S.S., Zulaikhah, S.H., Tri Widiyabti, S.S., Dr. Bambang Agus Pamuni, and Nur Chayanti, S.Sos.
Furthermore, those assessors were warmly welcomed by the Head of the Quality Assurance Institute at Udinus, Dr. Nova Rijati, S.Si., M.Kom., the Head Librarian at Udinus, and all librarians within the library. (Humas Udinus/Ika. Foto: Dok. UPT Perpustakaan)
