The Quality Assurance Council (QAC) known as LPM and the Technical Implementation Unit (TIU) for Data and Information of Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) welcomed a comparative study visit from Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Sunan Giri (Unugiri), Thursday (09/11/2023). The visit was organized as a ‘Knowledge Sharing’ and Udinus directly welcomed this visitation on the first floor in the meeting room of Udinus G building. 

Among the attendees from Unugiri were notable figures, including Ahmad Farid Utsman, M.Pd.I, the Director of Institutions, Research, and Technology. Accompanied by the Head of the Unugiri Science and Technology Development Division, Mula Agung Barata, S.S.T., M.Kom., Head of the Unugiri Institutional Division, Festian Cindarbumi, M.Pd., Head of PMB Unugiri, Iqbal Tawakkal, M.Pd., Head of Research and Campus Development Unugiri, Ifnu Wisma Dwi Prastya, S.Kom., M.Kom., and Head of Staff of Directorate of Institutional, Research and Technology Unugiri, Abid Muzakki, S.Pd.

Adi Prihandono, M.Kom., the Head of the Human Resources Bureau and representative of Udinus, warmly welcomed the visit. He expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity for mutual learning between both parties, particularly in the areas of quality assurance and information systems. According to him, these topics are vital for universities aiming to enhance their overall quality across various disciplines. 

"To execute quality assurance and advance information systems, a high level of commitment is essential. This visitation can also maintain the relationship because previously we have collaborated in the field of understanding," Adi said.

In accordance with that, Ifan Rizqa, M.Kom., the Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Center at LPM Udinus, conveyed his appreciation for the trust shown by Unugiri in dedicating time to visit Udinus. He highlighted that this visit is not merely a formality but an opportunity for Udinus to gain valuable insights from our esteemed guests. 

The discussion on quality assurance at Udinus commenced with a brief presentation from Ifan Rizqa, M.Kom., who explained the history and organizational structure of QAC Udinus. He explained that related to the development of quality assurance institutions, moreover, Udinus QAC has now seamlessly integrated an information system to diligently monitor all necessary files.

“All of these aspects are seamlessly integrated within the university, spanning across faculties and study programs. To ensure the smooth functioning of this integration, we collaborate closely with the Technical Implementation Unit (TIU) Data and Information, the department responsible for managing information systems across Udinus,” Ifan added.

Imanuel Harkespan M.Kom. and Fahri Firdausillah S.Kom, MCS, also present as the representative of the Executive Unit for Data and Information of Udinus. They helped answering several questions regarding information systems.

The Institutional Director of Research and Technology of Udinus, Ahmad Farid Utsman, M.Pd.I., revealed that from this knowledge-sharing activity, his team could learn a lot related to quality assurance and information systems at Udinus. There were various questions asked from all heads of fields present, which will later become joint homework.

"It is clearly conveyed how to prepare SOPs in the IT field, IT facility management and maintenance systems, data security systems, and facility procurement systems both from software and hardware," he concluded.
