The 79th graduation ceremony at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) marked a significant milestone for the graduates of the year 2023. A total of 938 individuals celebrated their academic achievements with their parents or caretakers. During the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Ir Edi Noersasongko, M.Kom., the Chancellor of Udinus, encouraged the graduates to venture into entrepreneurship, leveraging the opportunities presented by technological advances.
Unlike the previous graduation, this proud moment was divided into two sessions. The first day featured 471 graduates from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Faculty of Health (FKes), and Faculty of Engineering (FT).
On the second day, 467 graduates from the Doctoral Program, Masters Program, and Faculty of Computer Science (FIK) took the stage. This time, the graduates were accompanied by their parents or guardians.
Prof. Dr. Ir. Edi Noersasongko, M.Kom., the Chancellor of Udinus, congratulated the 471 graduates who were inaugurated on the first day. He encouraged all graduates to contribute to Indonesia, especially by applying the expertise acquired during their academic journey.
Udinus fosters creativity by showcasing a range of innovative products crafted by students. From the captivating 'Si Warik' Gamelan Robot Animation to the Udinus Campus Chess Robot (Rocaku), these projects represent Udinus' commitment to connecting students with the industrial world, cultivating their potential to become entrepreneurs in their chosen fields. Moreover, Udinus actively imparts entrepreneurship knowledge to all students, aligning with the university's vision and mission.
“We consistently encourage students to explore entrepreneurship through thoughtfully designed programs. We are hoping that graduates can contribute to the nation's advancement by creating job opportunities both now and in the future," he mentioned.
Additionally, the Head of the Central Java Region VI Higher Education Service Institution (LLDIKTI), Bhimo Widyo Andoko, S.H., M.H. also attended the ceremony. He expressed pride in the numerous talented graduates from Udinus and conveyed hopes for their swift integration into the workforce. According to him, Udinus consistently instills entrepreneurial understanding in its students, regularly producing skilled young entrepreneurs.
"We hope, that studying at Udinus can be a provision and fully utilized by graduates in developing a business or working in a company. Congratulations to all Udinus graduates," said Bhimo Widyo Andoko.
Achieving Cumlaude and Excel in the Field of Art
The student graduation ceremony marks an extraordinary and joyous achievement, signifying the successful completion of approximately four years of dedicated studies. This is currently experienced by Yashinta Chindy Insyira, an outstanding graduate of the Diploma of Medical Record Program. She has successfully concluded her studies with an impressive GPA of 3.59 and has garnered various achievements throughout her academic journey. Notably, she clinched the first position in the Central Java Provincial Putra Putri Tari event in 2021.
During her interview, the graduate who is familiarly called Cindy admitted that she was happy to be able to pursue her undergraduate education at Udinus because not only did she learn academic skills, but she also improved her non-academic skills such as in the dancing world. She also advised other students to keep learning and improving themselves.
