The Bachelor of Management Program at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) provides a forum for students to develop their marketing skills. The encouraging platform was in the form of an event called 'the Annual Creative Advertising Awards' (ACA Awards) followed by students who take the Marketing Management Course.
Chief Executive, Alvis Kusuma Waroqah Purnomoputra explained that there were 6 categories contested at the annual event. The competition categories included best product label, best package, best brand name, best advertising, best visual effect, and best communication. In the judging process, each group must pass three sessions. One group consists of three to five students from both Udinus Semarang Campus, Udinus Kediri Campus, and even international classes as well.
“These three sessions began with socialization which was followed by all participants. The event was then followed by the judging session conducted by lecturers outside the Marketing Management course for the top 5 best groups. Then continue with the last one, which is the closing session with the awarding of the first winner for each category," explained Alvis.
On that occasion, Aca Awards carried the theme ‘Recognizing the Best Educational Marketing with Creative Award Categories'. It was participated by 472 students to conduct an assessment of marketing management practices. The final event was organized lively, taking place on the 3rd floor in the hall room of the E building Udinus.
The event which collaborated with the Management Student Association (MSA) as the committee was also attended by 3 founders of the ACA Awards. On that occasion these founders also conveyed material. Chronologically, the material was in the form of storyboards, behind-the-scenes, television commercials, the power of packaging, and also product branding.

Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Udinus, Prof. Vincent Didiek Wiet Aryanto, MBA, PhD, hoped that students could take many advantages from the activity. Making the event a space to fully understand marketing theory. By marketing a product, customers will easily recognize it.
