A Student Activity Unit known as The Dian Nuswantoro Computer Club at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) encouraged high school students to be creative developers, allowing them to build a smart city. This particular activity was implemented in the form of a competition, namely, the 2024 Dinus Application Competition (Dinacom).

The Dinacom, which was a part of the 2024 Dinusfest, was themed ‘From Smart Cities to Intelligent Governance.’ It was participated by dozens of teams from various high schools in Indonesia, and only eight teams made it to the final stage. As for the enthusiasm, the participants, mainly consisting of high school students, resonated a huge enthusiasm within the venue.

“Unlike previous years, we hosted the final stage online at the 2024 Dinacom. In addition, the Dinacom is also a part of a bigger event, the 2024 Dinusfest,” he explained.

He further hoped for the apps produced at the Dinacom to benefit and have a big social impact on the public. Furthermore, this event also served as a way to garner talented app developers, allowing Indonesia to become more technologically advanced

“We have seen their amazing works, and we have also seen their glowing enthusiasm,” he uttered.

Dr. Kusni Ingsih, M.M., the Vice Chancellor III of Student Affairs, explained that the 2024 Dinus Festival (Dinusfest) served as a platform for high school students to showcase their talents competitively. In addition to high school students, there were also several college students competing in the event.
