Digital marketing is among the most important aspects of modern marketing strategy, and it is also relevant for various public organization, including the Family Welfare Movement (PKK). In an attempt to improve the marketing effectivity and empower the members of this particular organization, the Research and Community Service Institution at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) hosted an event entitled ‘the Digital Marketing Training Program as a Stepping Stone to Become Womenpreneurs.’
The training program involved members of the PKK organization in RT 01, RW27, Meteseh, Tembalang Sub-district. Roughly 35 participants were taught the basics of digital marketing, encompassing how to use the Canva app on mobile phones and laptops, how to create a Shopee affiliate, account, and how to promote products properly on Shopee.
Furthermore, Cinantya Paramita S.Kom., M.Eng, the event initiator, revealed that the training program introduced several mostly-used contents, namely, video designing and editing, the concept of digital branding, and social media management. According to her, the members of PKK could utilize digital marketing to raise awareness concerning the offered program, particularly to educate the locals of Meteseh about the importance of family welfare, as well as garnering resource support from the general public.
“This digital marketing training program will help members of the Family Welfare Movement (PKK) hone their entrepreneurship and communication skills, allowing them to handle customers properly on digital platforms,” she emphasized.
Furthermore, Cinantya also hoped for this training program to improve the local economic condition and the number of successful business owners in the digital market. In addition, she was also committed to pushing members of PKK to become more independent and productive for their families.
“With this digital marketing training program, we expect the members of the Family Welfare Movement (PKK) to become successful in the digital market one day. Also, this program serves as our participation in empowering women in general, particularly in business and economic realms,” she concluded.
The training program also involved several faculty members, students, and an alumna of Udinus, with one of those faculty members being Ir. Amalia, MT, IPM, ASEAN Eng. Meanwhile, the involved students were Salwa Salsabila (an Informatics student) and Devina Chalifatun Nisa (an Industrial Engineering student).
