Committed to Fight Against Drugs

The chancellor of Udinus, Prof. Dr. Ir. Edi Noersasongko, M.Kom., stated that Udinus has become a campus that is free from drugs which proves their effort in preventing drug trafficking.

"Students at campus are one of the main markets for drug dealers because there are many people gathered here. We routinely conduct urine tests every semester for employees and students. Furthermore, we also prohibit smoking cigarettes in every building, because according to NNB, smokers often act as a gap to drug trafficking," said Prof. Edi.

Prof. Edi also added that Udinus had formed a drug task force to detect the early spread of drugs as well as closing any activities on campus from 10 pm.

The Head of Central Java National Narcotics Board, Brigadier General of Police. Dr. H. Agus Rohmat, S.I.K., S.H., M.Hum., said that the training against drugs is a step taken by NNB and Udinus to prevent and eradicate its spread.

"Students must refuse and report if they find out about any activities related to drug distribution in the campus environment. We also provide rehabilitation services for the community reported by the drug task force," said Agus.

This training event not only focuses on drug prevention, but also aims to improve students' soft skills, creativity, innovation, and leadership. The material taught includes technology development, digitalization in management, and the use of digital tools to enhance organizational efficiency.

The coaching material was delivered by Udinus' lecturers and expert practitioners in their fields. With this activity, it is expected that Udinus and NNB can continue to synergize to fight drugs and embody the motto ‘Indonesia Bersinar' or Indonesia is free from drugs.
