The Career Center of Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) once again successfully held the 27th Job Fair. This event was attended by dozens of large companies from all over Indonesia, successfully connecting around 3,500 participants, including alumni and the general public, to find jobs for free.

The Job Fair was held on 20-21 July 2024 and provides a golden opportunity for job seekers and companies to interact directly. In addition, jobseekers gain valuable knowledge on how to create an attractive CV, the steps to face an interview, and various important information related to the employee recruitment process.

This event was symbolically opened by Vice-Chancellor III for Student Affairs Udinus, Dr. Kusni Ingsih, MM, witnessed by the Head of the Udinus Alumni Association (UAA), Major General of TNI Nugroho Sulistyo, and the Secretary of the Semarang City Manpower Office, Slamet Budi Utomo, S.Ag., M.H. Not only that, the Udinus lecturers were also present at the event.

The Head of Udinus Career Center, Dr. Jointi Novianto, MT, reported that 22 companies participated in the job fair at this time. These companies are engaged in various fields, including banking, software development, garment, and food and beverage.

“Most of the participants who attended the Job Fair were Udinus alumni. We want to be a platform for success, especially for those who are looking for work," said Dr. Sendi.

Dr. Sendi also added that this job fair is an effort by Udinus to reduce the unemployment rate in Indonesia, especially in Semarang City. Participants not only look for job vacancies but also gain knowledge through talk shows filled by speakers from job fair participating companies.

"Job fair is a routine activity held by Udinus Career Center three times every year. This event also aligns with the Udinus' graduation period, aiming to provide opportunities for graduates to enter the professional world," he concluded.

The Vice-Chancellor III for Student Affairs of Udinus, Dr. Kusni Ingsih, MM, hopes that this job fair event will also be used by Udinus graduates to establish friendships with fellow jobseekers. According to her, the collaboration between the Udinus Career Center and the Udinus Alumni Association is a strategic step to connect the alumni with companies.

"Hopefully, Udinus alumni who participated in the job fair can get a job according to their wishes," said Dr. Kusni Ingsih.

Subsequently, after the opening of the 27th Udinus Job Fair, Major General Nugroho Sulistyo, hopes that employers can take advantage of this opportunity to get competent and reliable employees. UAA Udinus also encourages newly graduated alumni to be involved in this event, with the aim of meeting the needs of entrepreneurs with the needs of alumni for a career in various companies.
