Semarang – Once again, the Doctoral Program in Computer Science of the Computer Science Faculty at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) recorded a brilliant achievement by graduating two students at once. The two students were Dr. Usman Sudibyo, S.Si., M.Kom., and Dr. De Rosal, Ignatius Moses Setiadi, M.Kom. Both earned their degree after successfully defending their dissertations about technology.

The open session to defend their dissertation was held in the meeting room on the 1st floor of Building H. The event was led by the Chief Examiner and Vice-Chancellor I for Academic Affairs of Udinus, Prof. Dr. Supriadi Rustad, M.Sc. The session went smoothly. With the approval of Dr. Usman Sudibyo and Dr. De Rosal, Ignatius Moses Setiadi, now the Doctoral in Computer Science Program has graduated ten doctoral graduates. The two new doctors also serve as lecturers in the Bachelor of Informatics Engineering (IT) Program at Udinus.

The Computer Science Doctoral Program of Udinus has currently received ‘Excellent‘ accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) based on the Decree number 11405/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/D/X/2021 which is valid until October 5, 2026. The Head of the Udinus Computer Science Doctoral Program, Purwanto, S.Si., M.Kom., Ph.D., explained that this program has various advantages that can be utilized by students, including the quality of qualified teachers and the supportive facilities.

“This is proven by the accreditation that we obtained. We are also proud of Dr. Usman Sudibyo and Dr. De Rosal, Ignatius Moses Setiadi who has successfully earned a doctorate and defended their dissertation before the examiners," said Purwanto.

The chancellor of Udinus, Prof. Dr. Ir. Edi Noersasongko, M.Kom., who was present at the open session, expressed his pride and congratulations to the new doctors. "We hope that this doctoral degree can provide great benefits and contributions to Indonesia. Through the Doctoral in Computer Science, Udinus is committed to keep educating the nation as well as generating a competitive society in the field of technology," said Prof. Edi.

At the hearing session, Dr. Usman Sudibyo discussed 'Transformation-Based Feature Improvement Methods to Improve Classification Algorithm Performance '. Meanwhile, Dr. De Rosal and Ignatius Moses Setiadi discussed ‘The Development of Image Features Based on Sharpening and Edge Filters to Improve the Quality of Steganography'.

The Head of the Undergraduate of Information Technology Program, Sri Winarno, Ph.D., also expressed his happiness at the achievements of two lecturers in the program he led. "The addition of these two new doctorates will strengthen the Degree of Information Technology Program in improving the quality of teaching to students. We hope that the presence of these new doctors will further strengthen us in generating high-quality generation," he concluded.
