At Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus), achievements in various sports branches have been made by its athletes, including badminton. Recently, Rida Aulia Fatasya, a Bachelor Student of Communication Science (ILKOM) Program of Udinus, achieved a new achievement at the 2024 BNI National Circuit A Central Kalimantan.

The national competition was held by the Central Kalimantan All-Indonesia Badminton Association (PBSI) and was attended by more than 505 badminton athletes. Those athletes came from 104 clubs across different provinces in Indonesia, ranging from young to adult players.

Taking place at Pratama Sports Center, Palangka Raya, the competition served as a platform to seek future athletes who can excel in the world of badminton. Moreover, badminton is one of the sports that is very popular among Indonesians.

In the competition held on August 12-17, 2024, students who are familiarly called ‘Rida‘ participated and won 2nd Place in the Women's Double Category. By beating hundreds of her competitors, Rida scored an achievement that certainly made Udinus proud.

“All the hard work and time I spent on training paid off with this proud achievement. Hopefully, the name of Udinus can spread more in other national-level competitions, especially in badminton sports," she hoped.

In response to these achievements, the Head of the Udinus' Student Affairs Bureau, Dr. Rindra Yusianto, S.Kom., MT, expressed his pride. Another record achievement is attained by Udinus athletes in the national arena. “This is an incredible achievement. We always support our students to excel in various fields, including sports. This is also proof that Udinus is well-known as the home campus for athletes," said Dr. Rindra.

Rindra hopes that these achievements will always be maintained, and even improved. According to him, this can motivate other students to participate in different competitions and aim to be the winner. "Hopefully this achievement can be a boost for other students to actively attain achievements and also make the name of Udinus proud," he concluded.
