The Humanities Faculty at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) encouraged students to be critical, cultured, and inclusive leaders. To embody this commitment, on the first day of the 2024 Dinus Inside, the Humanities Faculty introduced students to various student organizations. This is because student organizations hold the platform for students to be leaders.

The event took place on the fifth floor of the B building on September 9th, 2024, with hundreds of freshmen attending it. In addition to domestic students, 11 freshmen from other countries were also seen partaking in it and learning things.

Dr. Sri Mulatsih, Dra. M.Pd., the Vice Dean of the Humanities Faculty, emphasized that joining student organizations could improve soft skills . Furthermore, she also stated that campus life did not only scope formal lectures in classrooms.

“With that being said, you should not only go to the campus to study but also add it to various activities. We need to have both hard skills and soft skills. Hard skills are usually gathered during a conventional learning process on campus. However, a high GPA will not do any good without excellent soft skills to support it. These soft skills can be obtained by joining student organizations or activities,” she revealed.

The balance between hard skills and soft skills is necessary in shaping competent and cultured leaders. In addition to the vice dean, several student organizations within the Humanities Faculty were also present to introduce their organizations.
