At the beginning of 2024, the Informatics Student Association at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) came up with an innovation in the form of a website entitled Sekari Edu Academy. This website is designed to empower women of Batusari Village, Demak Regency through the Student Organization Capacity Building Program (PPKO). Partnering with the Women Empowerment, Children Protection, Population Control, and Birth Control Service (DP3AP2KB), the innovation was developed to further expand women's empowerment through women’s schools.

The innovation was embodied in the form of a newly branded website entitled Serat Kartiniwhich was expected as a non-formal learning platform for women of Central Java.

The website was launched at an event entitled Semarak Sukomakmur in Sukomakmur Village, Kanjoran Sub-district, Magelang Regency. The event was initiated by the DP3AP2KB of Central Java. The event was attended by 486 people from numerous different government agencies, including the National Population and Family Planning Board of Central Java, the Food Security Service of Central Java, the Social Service of Central Java, the Women Empowerment, Children Protection, Population Control, and Birth Control Service of Magelang Regency, the National Zakat Board, PT. JTAB, the Regional Development Planning Agency of Magelang Regency, the Workforce Service of Magelang Regency, the Health Service of Magelang Regency, and the locals of Sukomakmur Village.

Muhammad Ivan Khoirur Rizky, the Leader of the PPKO Team of the Informatics Student Association at Udinus, explained that the Serat Kartini website was designed in collaboration with the DP3AP2KB of Central Java. It specifically aimed to give educational access to women. Ivan also added that women’s involvement in various events in the village was severely lacking, and this website was developed to empower these women.

“We developed the Serat Kartini website to support the learning process of women from various villages, particularly those who want to improve their entrepreneurial, crafting, and personal development skills,” Ivan uttered.

The Serat Kartini Website was not only created for the locals of Sukomakmur Village but it was also aimed at all women’s schools in Central Java. According to Ivan, this program was a product of a partnership between his PPKO team and the Women Empowerment and Child Protection Service of Central Java.

“We partnered with the Women Empowerment and Child Protection Service of Central Java so that this website will be able to be used in various women’s schools in this province. Hopefully, the Serat Kartini website will inflict sustainable positive impacts,” he said.

Ivan also explained that this PPKO program involved other kinds of activities, including entrepreneurial education, skill training programs, and the 3R Movement (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) to process household waste. “We are also committed to giving an education, which was not only limited to skills but also how to maintain their environment to be cleaner and healthier,” he added.
