A total of seven students at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) have successfully led the Sukun Badak Volleyball Club to be runner-up at the 2024 Livoli National Championship of Division 1. The finale was held at the Bung Karno Sports Building in Purwodadi, Grobogan Regency, Central Java, on Monday, October 20, 2024.

During the final match, the Sukun Badak Volleyball Club was defeated by the Berlian Bank Jateng Club, who showcased superior prowess and emerged as the champion. Despite only being a runner-up, this was still an accomplishment for the Sukun Badak club, particularly seven students from Udinus who competed for the team.

Those seven students were, Made Harin Mayena, Rifki Ferdianto, Adik Tri Yulianto, Sapta Rafi Sanjaya, Louis Tafarel, Dimas Setiawan, and Juandita Dharmattama. All of them were students of the Communication Science Department at Udinus who have showcased their athletic feats, particularly volleyball.

Dr. Rindra Yusianto, S.Kom., M.T., the Head of the Student Affairs Bureau, also expressed his appreciation for the accomplishments earned by those athletes. According to him, this accomplishment showed that Udinus was not only excellent in academic matters but also non-academic ones.

“We are proud of their achievement at the national championship. Hopefully, they will be able to further develop their potential and achieve an even bigger feat,”. Dr. Rindra revealed. He also hoped for this success to inspire other students at Udinus.
