Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) through one of its badminton athletes, Ridya Aulia Fatasya, attained an astonishing accomplishment at the 2024 National Circuit (Sirnas) of BNI Premier DKI Jakarta. The event was hosted in the Gelanggang Remanjan area of Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta. Tasya stated that the tournament lasted from November 11 to 16, 2024. At the event, she represented the Central Java contingent through the PB Djarum Kudus team, and secured third place as a result.
“At the 2024 Sirnas of BNI, I worked with 124 other athletes from Central Java to compete against athletes from various regions, including the Jaya Raya team of Jakarta, the Mansion Box Sport team of Jakarta, and others,” Tasya uttered.
Tasya added that she had previously trained prior to this event. She admitted that that previously she had also participated in an international event, which helped her boost her confidence.
“Even though this is still far from the best, I’m still grateful as I won third place without sustaining any injury. Hopefully, I can achieve a better attainment in the future,” Tasya, a student in the 2023 class, explained.
On a different occasion, Prof. Dr. Dra. Kusni Ingsih, M.M., the Vice Chancellor III of Student Affairs at Udinus, expressed her pride for the accomplishment earned by Tasya as a badminton athlete. According to her, with the bronze medal attained by Tasya, other athletes from Udinus would be motivated to give their best efforts to accomplish the finest possible achievements.
“This will not be the last accomplishment, as we, from the Student Affairs Bureau, will always motivate our athletes to keep focusing and accomplishing better feats in the future. Furthermore, we will also keep guiding them to allocate their time both for their academic and athletic careers,” Prof. Kusni concluded. (Humas Udinus.Haris. Foto: Humas Udinus)
