The Applied Animation Department in the Computer Science Faculty at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) partnered with the Raden Umar Said High School of Kudus. The partnership was tied as a tangible step from Udinus in improving the quality of the animation sector in Indonesia, particularly when it comes to education.
Perjanjian kerja sama ditandatangani langsung oleh Dekan FIK Udinus, Dr. Drs. Abdul Syukur, The partnership was directly signed by Dr. Drs. Abdul Syukur—the Dean of the Computer Science Faculty at Udinus—and Agam Amintaha—the Principal of the Raden Umar Said High School of Kudus. The partnership was also a part of a bigger event, namely, the Fazzio School Fest Junimasi, which was held at the school’s courtyard on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
During his interview, Abdul Syukur mentioned that the partnership was an attempt to improve the quality of education, particularly in the education sector. Students within the high school would later be given a form of education as a result of this collaboration.
“They will later receive a training program to improve their qualities as HR. Through this program, students are allowed to convert it to credit hours. This is among many benefits we offer to students at the Raden Umar Said High School for this collaboration,” he explained.
Agam Amintaha, the Principal of the Raden Umar Said High School, warmly welcomed the collaboration offered by Udinus. According to him, graduates from the Raden Umar Said High School must be adept in animating, but students would even be more helped in skills management through this training program.
By continuing their education, students will gather the opportunity to learn hard skills and soft skills more thoroughly. This will benefit them in their future careers in the animation industry.
“Currently, fifty percent of our graduates work in the industry upon graduation. However, some of them continue their studies to pursue higher degrees. This collaboration will eventually serve as an opportunity for them to hone their competence through higher education,” he revealed.
A Step to Look for Young Talented Animators
This is the third year of Junimasi since it was first held, and the Animation Department still partners with Yamaha Motor Indonesia to host the Fazzio School Fest. This event will be hosted in various high schools in numerous regencies in Central Java, including Kudus, Pati, Jepara, Rembang, Grobogan, and Blora.
Junimasi itself is an event featuring many activities for high school students to participate including a workshops about animation, creativity battle, 3D Animation Video Competition, and safety riding and test drive from Yamaha Riding Academy..
The festival is participated by students of the Raden Umar Said High School and 40 other high schools that have partnered with Yamaha. The 2025 Roadshow to Junimasi started in November 2024 and will end in June 2025. The entire roadshow started with a goes to campus , hosted at Udinus in November 2024.
