Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) conducted a signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universitas Ivet (Unisvet), on Friday, February 28, 2025, in the Rectorate Conference Room on the first floor of the G building at Udinus. The event was attended by rectors of both universities, accompanied by their respective staff. The MoU was for the partnership to improve the quality of their research and publications.

The moment was opened by an opening speech from the Rector of Udinus, Prof. Dr. Pulung Nurtantio Andono, S.T., M.Kom. On that occasion, he stated that the partnership could improve the quality of both institutions, which were located in Semarang City.

“This partnership focuses on improving the quality of our research and publications, as well as aiming to solidify our international recognition, like the QS World University Rankings, through collaborations between both parties with universities from other countries,” he explained.

Prof. Pulung also discussed how to motivate lecturers to improve their research quantity and qualities, particularly by giving them incentives and appreciation for their research. 

“This appreciation will motivate academicians to routinely conduct research. Even now, we often push our academicians to collaborate with universities from other countries. For that reason, this partnership is expected to further reinforce our academicians to tie collaborations with universities from other countries,” Prof. Pulung uttered. 

After the opening speech, the event was continued by an MoU signing conducted by the Rector of Udinus and the Rector of Unisvet, Dr. Luluk Elyana, S.Pd.I., M.Si. Both of them were accompanied by their respective partnership division. From Udinus, the rector was accompanied by Dr. Ir. Dwi Eko Waluyo, M.M., the Head of the Partnership and International Affairs Office at Udinus. Meanwhile, from Unisvet, the rector was accompanied by Jumrianto, S.T., M.T., the Head of the Partnership Division at Unisvet.

Udinus as an Excellent Campus

Meanwhile, as stated by Prof. Pulung, the Rector of Unisvet also hoped for this partnership to be able to improve the quality of both universities. According to her, Udinus was chosen as a partner as it held the reputation of an excellent university, and among the most prominent IT campus in Central Java, Indonesia.

“I hereby express my gratitude for the warm greetings from Udinus. This partnership is expected to deepen the bonds between both universities, allowing us to maximize the potential of this partnership,” she uttered.

The event was also attended by Prof. Dr. Muljono, S.Si.—the Head of the Research and Community Service Division at Udinus, and Dwi Utaminingsih, S.Kom., M.M., the Head of the Public Relations and Protocol Division at Udinus. Unisvet also sent several of its staff to witness the agreement, including Dr. Maria Denok Bekti Agustiningrum, S.Pd., M.Pd.—the Vice Rector I of Unisvet, Lingga Kurnia Ramadhani, M.Kom.—the Chief of the Informatics and Communication Division at Unisvet, and Muhammad Rizky Rochmawan, S.Pd., M.Pd., a representative from the Public Relations Division at Unisvet.
