The 84th Graduation at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) marked the opening of a new chapter for 527 students, who had finished their studies. At the graduation, the graduates widely opened the gateway to their careers, with industrial partners being featured at the event, which took place on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.

During his opening speech, the Rector of Udinus stated that the industrial partners were featured to serve as an initial provision for the graduates. Industrial partners were present as a momentum of collaborations with Udinus. These collaborations are commitments from the campus to supporting its graduates to thrive in the current job market.

“We need to inform you that, according to the Career Center at Udinus, 85% of our graduates are generally able to get a job within one to three months after their graduation. These statistics are indeed a token of pride for us, as it is generally not a common accomplishment for other universities. Around 13.71% of our graduates have even been accepted for work before their graduation,” he revealed.

During the graduation procession, a number of leaders from industrial partners were present to witness a series of events at the graduation, including the Director of Indoweb.id and the Head of the Integrity Assessment Survey Division at the Regional Drinking Water Company of Kediri. On that occasion, both of them expressed their appreciation to Udinus for partnering with them and channeling its graduates to work for both companies.

At the sacred moment, the rector also congratulated all graduates. According to him, these accomplishments are not an end, instead, it is a point of a new beginning. The graduates are expected to bring positive impacts on the public, as well as workplaces.

The rector also exclaimed that recently, 31 students were sent to Japan to work as interns and volunteers. He emphasized that this program was a commitment from Udinus to introducing its students to directly interact with partners.

“We facilitate our students by providing them with a Japanese language training program to help them establish connections while they are in Japan. These internship and volunteering programs, which align with their majors or expertise, are expected to open a wide array of opportunities in the professional realm,” he exclaimed.

The Importance of Connection in the Industry

Also present at the graduation, the Acting Head of the Higher Education Service Institute of Region VI, Prof. Dr. Harun Joko Prayitno, M.Hum., who had recently been inaugurated as the acting head, congratulated the graduates. According to him, Udinus’ commitment to featuring partners from the industry could serve as an example for other universities.

Prof. Harun also advised graduates before their engagement in the industry, with his tagline ‘HIS Mr. Udinus.’ In his tagline, HIS refers to the concept of ‘Human Relation is a Key for Successful,’ a concept where one’s success depends on how they place themselves in their work environments.

“The Way and the Art of Bonding determines the success of graduates in the working industry. Their experience and knowledge gathered at Udinus will surely be of some use at work, as Udinus is a campus with an Excellent accreditation,” he concluded.

According to the report and decree, on this specific occasion, Udinus’ graduates consist of students from 25 departments and five faculties. In detail, there were a graduate from a doctoral program, six graduates from graduate programs, 507 graduates from undergraduate programs, nine graduates from the applied undergraduate programs, and four graduates from diploma programs.
