The seminar was participated by researchers whose papers were qualified by the committee. Dr. Farrikh also revealed that the paper submitted by participants would be inputted to the indexed Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

“The submitted paper must fulfill the criteria. The criteria encompass originality, novelty, unpublished, and written in English. The qualified paper will later be reviewed by three reviewers through a series of processes. The process includes peer-review and inputting the paper to the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE),” Farrikh highlighted.

Dr. Pulung Nurtantio Andono, S.T., M.Kom., (the Vice Chancellor IV of Research and Partnership Affairs at Udinus) was present to welcome and express his gratitude to all global speakers for being willing to share their knowledge about technology at the 2022 Isemantic.

“Isemantic is an international discussion space. It serves as a platform to find the best ideas in implementing technology-based business ideas,” he revealed.

The 2022 Isemantic featured experts from various fields. Those expert speakers were Dr. Shay Bahramirad (the Vice President of Engineering and Smart Grid ComEd), and Prof. Mohd. Meanwhile, another two speakers also made an appearance at the seminar. Those speakers were Dr. Guruh Fajar Shidik, MCS., (the Vice Chancellor II at Udinus) and Celia Shahnaz Ph.D., (the Committee Chair-Elect and Professor of IEEE WIE, the Department of EEE, BUET, Bangladesh.

During her session, Celia Shahnaz Ph.D discussed the benefit of ‘Deep Learning Application for Medical Image Analysis.’ According to Celia, the presence of technology, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Deep Learning, could help doctors make decisions more accurately and quickly. Through her Capsule Network, doctors would be able to detect medical disorders using the Radiography Musculoskeletal method.

“By utilizing AI and Deep Learning, we created a database based on Radiography Musculoskeletal photos. We did this to help doctors make the most efficient decision in handling patients suffering from Tuberculosis and COVID-19 in their earlier phases. Collaboration between fields of study would inflict positive impacts on the technological advancements from various fields,” she concluded. (Humas Udinus/Alex. Foto: Humas Udinus)
