“If you get creative ideas for an event, just convey them, and get to the execution stage immediately, do not be afraid to fail. Additionally, relations are also crucial in starting your career in the industry,” Ummi Nur Aini Daneswari emphasized. Aini was an alumna of the Undergraduate Communication Science Study Program at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus), who is currently embarking on her career in the event organizing sector. 

 

Aini plunged into her professional career as a creative designer. Whenever she handles an event, Aini oversees the event’s preparation starting from deciding the concept. Designing concepts is her daily job. She revealed that every activity would not be repeated so perfecting every aspect was necessary. 

 

“Even if the event does not align with the main concept, we must come up with other plans hastily, so that we could provide our clients with the best services,” uttered the owner of the @ainidaneswarii Instagram account.

 

Aini, born on September 13th, 1998 in Jepara, claimed that her interest in the event organizing sector emerged during her study in the Communication Science Study Program at Udinus. Ever since Aini was in the fifth semester, she worked as an intern in an event organizing agency named Aqsha Multi Corpora, Ltd. During her time working as an intern, she was grateful as she had the opportunity to develop her relationship threads. Furthermore, she was not also obliged to work with strict rules. 

 

“My curiosity formed my interest in the event organizing sector. I became more satisfied and joyous upon my entrance into the sector as I could see my clients enjoying my designed events,” Aini revealed.

 

She had encountered unusual things during designing an event, particularly a huge-scaled one. Aini, who graduated in 2021, shared that she received many reports from vendors regarding their number of visitors. 

 

Aini revealed that she occasionally gained various negative and positive complaints. However, she still stood her ground and gave her best to the vendors and customers at her creatively designed events. Nevertheless, she was glad to be able to know and tied relations with many people. 

 

“I once received a complaint from a vendor, initially, he wanted his stand to be crowdy. However, as we tried to jazz up the stand, he once again complained about his too-crowded stand. It was truly a unique experience at least for us,” she shared.

 

Her acquired degree in communication at Udinus was an unforgettable experience. She obtained various knowledge and benefits during her study there, including lots of field practices. Not only that, but the lecturers were also competent and passionate about their jobs.
