In response to the Industrial Revolution 4.0 where technology becomes essential in our lives, the Dinus Robotic Club at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) hosted a robot competition participated by high school and college students. It was hosted in the auditorium on the third floor of the E building, on Tuesday, January 24th, 2023.

The competition was divided into two categories. For the high school students, they participated in the robot soccer category, where every team was represented by two members. Every team was obliged to score the ball to the opposing goal. The team with the highest scores or points would emerge as the winner. Furthermore, every participant could also use the designated robot to participate in this specific category.

In addition to robot soccer category, they also featured the robot line follower category dedicated to college students. In this category, participants were obliged to bring their own created robots to follow a designated line. The team whose robot reached the finish line first would emerge as the winner. This event entitled the Dinus Robotic Competition (DN ROBOCO), is a work program initiated by the Dinus Robot Club. It was held from January 24th to 25th, 2023.

Muhammad Jeffri R., the Head of the Committee, stated that this event aimed to develop the creativity of its participants so that they could properly unleash their talents and interests. According to him, technology would later play an important role in shaping this world into a better place.

“This robot competition can develop their creativity. Moreover, the world has currently reached the fourth part of the Industrial Revolution. For this reason, students must hone their ability and skills in technology, including robotics,” he uttered.
