The Dean of Engineering Faculty at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus), Heru Agus Santoso, Ph.D., gave the newly inaugurated students direct instruction. On that occasion, he encouraged the students to be creative and innovative.
The instructional event was hosted on the third floor of the E building and was attended by 228 new students in the Engineering Faculty. Additionally, the event was part of a bigger event named the 2023 Dinus Inside. Currently, the Faculty of Engineering at Udinus consists of three study programs namely, Undergraduate Electrical Engineering Program, Undergraduate Industrial Engineering Program, and Undergraduate Biomedical Engineering Program. At the event, several accomplishments achieved by the faculty were also showcased including Udinus Campus Electric Pedicab (Becik-KU) and the AGV Kaibo Robot which has already been implemented in an Indonesian company.
The dean also congratulated the new students in the faculty. Moreover, he revealed that the accomplishments and innovations carved by the Engineering Faculty had been able to shape Udinus into a better campus. Ultimately, he hoped that the newly enrolled students could continue the legacy of the collaboration between students and lecturers.
“We will always push the students in the Engineering Faculty to be competitive and think creatively and critically. Thus, they could produce more and more innovations in Indonesia,” the Dean emphasized.
The students were also introduced to faculty members such as the Dean, the Vice Dean, the Heads of Study Programs, the Lab Technicians, and the Lecturers. Dinus Inside is essentially a student inauguration and campus introduction event, which is obliged to be attended by all the new students at Udinus. This year, there are 3517 listed as new students at Udinus.
In addition to 228 new students in the Engineering Faculty, there are 1645 new students in the Computer Science faculty, 725 in the Economic and Business Faculty, 165 in the Humanities Faculty, 393 in the Health Science Faculty, 50 in the Medicine Faculty, 172 new students in the Kediri campus, and 139 Post-graduate students.
