Wahyu Aji Eko Prabowo - The Head of the Undergraduate Remote Informatics Education Study Program

Since his first time working at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) in 2016, Wahyu Aji Eko Prabowo has been optimistic to contribute in the field of education. To this day, his career as a lecturer guides him to be the Head of the Undergraduate Remote Informatics Study Program at Udinus Lombok.

Wahyu explained that the Remote Informatics Study Program at Udinus utilized an effective learning method by implementing e-learning. This department also holds several advantages over the conventional ones, including time flexibility and less costly tuition.

“Students could learn anywhere and anytime without being present in class at a particular time. In running this program, students do not have to worry about transport, accommodation, and rent, which are usual in conventional campus programs,” Wahyu uttered.

The Remote Informatics Study Program also pushes students to be more independent in learning and solving problems. The fact that this program possesses the ability to access learning materials from different locations is very beneficial for students who live in remote areas with little to no access to educational institutions.

“We also implement an LMS platform known as ‘Kulion PJJ’ equipped with various features, including online discussion, forum, and online lecturing session. Through this platform, students could interact more easily, both with fellow students and lecturers,” Wahyu added.

Currently, the Department of Remote Informatics is accredited as Good by the National Accreditation Body for Higher Education (BAN-PT). The department aims to improve its quality in system development with several target markets in mind, such as high school graduates and professional workers.

“The Remote Informatics Study Program welcomed students through regular method and transfer method dedicated to students who have finished their diploma program. Undoubtedly, this department is also open to the public in addition to high school graduates,” he shared.

The Remote Informatics Study Program at Udinus offers the same opportunities to fresh graduates to get jobs at government agencies or State-owned Enterprises (BUMN). As for the workers, they will be able to gather the chance to improve their careers.

Wahyu, born on May 10, 1998, saw his students as a form of motivation to keep being passionate about teaching. To him, sharing his knowledge with students is a hobby and passion.

“I would be glad if my shared knowledge could be beneficial. Additionally, I will dedicate my life to teaching and guiding them to their impending success,” Wahyu revealed.

This lecturer who started his career in the Department of Informatics at Udinus tirelessly contributes to the field of education. Currently, he is a part of the Research Center Materials Informatics under the direct supervision of Prof. Dr. Supriadi Rustad, M.Si., the Vice Chancellor I of Academic Affairs at Udinus.
