The Capital Market Study Group (CMSG) of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) organized a public lecture for college students. The event served as a forum for students to learn more about capital markets.

The forum that took place on the 3rd floor of the E Building at Udinus was attended by hundreds of students, especially those who underwent capital market and investment courses. Through the public lecture, students were encouraged to learn anything related to capital market activities, namely understanding stock investment, investment selection, and risk recognition.

Two speakers who are experts in the field of capital markets were also present and shared their knowledge with the students. These speakers are Narotama Aryanto who is the President Director of Indonesia SIPF, and Fanny Rifqi El-Fuad who serves as the Head of Central Java IDX Office. The two speakers were moderated directly by Achmad Nuranyanto, an IDX KP1 Central Java Trainer.

The Manager of the CMSG FEB Udinus, Marcellino Ade Yahya said that the public lecture was a forum for Udinus students to get to know and understand deeply the capital markets in Indonesia. Furthermore, he also hoped that students would understand early on about the concept of the capital market.

"We have planned to regularly organize public lectures and various other trainings that are beneficial for students," explained Marcellino.

The public lecture was held in December 2023, emphasizing the theme ‘ Smart Steps Investment For A Smart Generation'.

Meanwhile, the Vice Dean of FEB Udinus, Dr. Retno Endah Hernawati, SE., M.S.i was hoping that students would utilize and absorb the knowledge presented by the speakers. In addition, students should be able to practice and play an active role in capital market activities.

"This is an extraordinary event that can be a provision for students when they later plunge into the world of capital markets. We expect that the shared knowledge can be utilized as well as possible by the participants," she concluded. (Udinus Public Relation/Alex. Photo: Doc. PR)
