Committed to providing a platform for high school students to hone their makeup talents, the Campus Entrepreneur Association at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) hosted the Makeup Artist Competition.

The Makeup Artist Competition, which was a part of the 2024 Dinus Festival, was divided into two sessions. During the first session, participants are obliged to cosmeticize models’ faces in a limited amount of time. The first session took place in a room on the first floor of the D building. Upon cosmeticizing the models, the models would later be showcased in a fashion show held in the auditorium on the sixth floor of the I building. The Makeup Artist Competition was hosted on Tuesday, January 30th, 2024.

Syaisa Fadila, the head of the committee, stated that the competition hosted by the Campus Entrepreneur Association was her first involvement in the 2024 Dinusfest. Syalsa revealed that her main goal was to empower women to become entrepreneurs.  

“The Makeup Artist business is not very common around the campus, and this event can essentially pioneer an entrepreneurial mindset among high school and college students. The participants also sparked a high level of enthusiasm, and the top 15 finalists were allowed to participate in the fashion show stage,” Syalsa stated.

All participants of the 2024 Dinusfest, particularly high school students, will later be awarded scholarships to continue their studies at Udinus. The event was hosted by Udinus. As a whole, there are a total of 73 contest categories competed since January 20th, 2024.
