The Campus Television Station at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (TVKU) obtained an award from the National Narcotics Board of Indonesia (BNN RI) at the commemoration of the 2024 International Anti-narcotics Day (HANI). The commemoration took place at the SKA Co-Ex Pekanbaru. The award was directly bestowed by the Head of the National Narcotics Board, Commissioner Police General Marthinus Hukom to the Director of TVKU, Hery Pamungkas, S.S., M.I.Kom.
TVKU was given an award for its active role in preventing and empowering the public to pose hostility against drug abuse and drug distribution. The General Commissioner stated that HANI was commemorated as a way to self-reflect on the drug policies and mitigations, as well as appreciating TVKU as an active mass media for its remarkable effort in educating the public concerning the danger of drugs. This was done by broadcasting news and other programs.
“We hereby congratulate TVKU for its dedication to conducting anti-drug campaigns. I hope for the audience of TVKU Semarang to actively participate in this campaign, as narcotics and their distributions are threats to humanity,” Marthinus Hukom said.
TVKU Semarang is the only mass media from Indonesia that was chosen at the event, after going through a strict selection process from the BNN RI. On that occasion, Hery Pamungkas, M.I.Kom., the Operational Director of TVKU, received the accomplishment with a grateful feeling. Additionally, he was also committed to supporting the eradication of narcotics by broadcasting news and programs.
“We are grateful for this proud accomplishment and hereby express our gratitude to BNN RI and BNNP of Central Java, as well as the Chancellor and the Head of the Universitas Dian Nuswantoro Foundation for supporting us. This award will ultimately motivate us to keep presenting more works and giving a meaningful contribution to the public,” Hery Pamungkas uttered.
The Commemoration of the 2024 HANI was an important momentum in protecting the next generation from the danger of drugs. This will allow excellent human resources to emerge by 2045, the Golden Age of Indonesia.
Prof. Dr. Ir. Noersasongko, M.Kom., the Chancellor of Udinus, expressed his utmost pride for the accomplishment acquired by TVKU Semarang. He further hoped for TVKU to take an active role in providing education to the public.
“I congratulate TVKU for the newly achieved accomplishment. Hopefully, TVKU will still be an educational media preventing the negative impacts of drug abuse,” the chancellor concluded. (Humas Udinus/Alex. Foto: Dok. TVKU)
