Cahya Arifina Rahma made a name for Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) at a national event. Cahya, a Medical Record and Information Student at Udinus, managed to win second place at the 2024 National Work Coding Competition (NTWCC).
Cahya explained that the event, initiated by the Health Polyclinic in Malang of the Health Ministry, helped students hone their talents, particularly in mastering medical terminology. The event was divided into two sessions, namely, the online session through the Google Classroom platform, and the Final Session hosted on September 7 to 8, 2024.
“At the event, I won second place in the Medical Terminology Category. In this category, participants were tested to analyze patients’ symptoms and diagnose the illness based on the designated case,” she highlighted.
During the finale, Cahya competed against four other finalists coming from various universities in numerous cities, including Surakata, Tasikmalaya, Malang, and Semarang.
“In participating in this contest, I always told myself to be optimistic to keep learning and be confident. By doing this, I became more certain that I could win it with everything I had done. Thanks to the course I took during my fourth semester, namely, Illness Codification and Related Health Issues, I was able to prove myself at the contest,” Cahya uttered.
This accomplishment is truly a token of pride for Udinus, particularly the Medical Records and Information Department. This is because one of its students was able to raise the campus’ fame on the national level.
Dr. dr. Zaenal Sugiyanto M. Kes., the Head of the Medical Records and Information Department at Udinus., revealed his pride in the accomplishment achieved by Cahya. According to him, this attainment would motivate other students within the department to participate in national and international competitions.
This is tangible proof that the Medical Records and Information Department at Udinus holds an excellent quality in terms of learning. As a reward, we will give our accomplished students scholarships for their magnificent efforts,” she concluded. (Humas Udinus/Haris. Foto: Dok. Pribadi)
