Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) has a unique way of commemorating Pancasila Sanctity Day on October 1, 2024. On that day, Udinus gave 10 laptops to a high school, namely, SMA Negeri 1 Semarang. These laptops are expected to help the school improve its learning quality, allowing students to achieve more accomplishments.

The laptop handover was marked by an agreement of collaboration between Udinus and SMA N 1 Semarang. On that occasion, the laptops were handed by Prof. Dr. Ir. Edi Noersasongko, M.Kom., (the Chancellor of Udinus) to Dr. Kusno, S.Pd., M.Si., (the Principal of SMA N 1 Semarang). This whole procession was witnessed by Tri Rustanti, S.E., M.M., (the Head of the Dian Nuswantoro Foundation) and Dr. Drs. Abdul Syukur., M.M., (the Dean of the Computer Science Faculty).

At the handover, Prof. Edi expressed his pride in being able to contribute to the place he used to study directly. As an alumnus of SMA N 1 Semarang, the Chancellor wanted to give something beneficial to SMAN 1 Semarang.

“Hopefully, these ten laptops will be able to help teachers during the learning process, and lead their students to the gates of success,” he uttered.

The chancellor also emphasized that the support did not only come in the form of laptops but also encouragement to other alumni of SMA N 1 Semarang to play their role in further developing their alma mater.

“Hopefully, our contribution to SMAN 1 Semarang can influence other alumni to support their alma mater,” the chancellor uttered.

Meanwhile, Dr. Kusno, S.Pd., M.Si., the Principal of SMA N 1 Semarang, expressed his appreciation for the support given by Udinus, specifically Prof. Edi as an alumnus of SMA N 1 Semarang. According to him, this support was of great honor and would be utilized by teachers to its fullest.

“With these ten laptops, our learning process will be more optimal. These laptops symbolize the harmony between Udinus and our school,” Dr. Kusno.

The laptop handover was conducted after a flag ceremony to commemorate the Sanctity Day of Pancasila. For additional yet unique information, Prof. Edi, Tri Rustanti, S.Pd., M.Si., and the teachers also boarded an electric pedicab invented by Udinus, Becik-KU, to reach the location. The pedicab stole a spotlight among students who wanted to board the pedicab after the ceremony.
