Semarang – the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa) introduced its newest app, Diploma Numbering and National Profession Certificate (PISN). To introduce this app, a dissemination will be held in various universities in Indonesia.

Private universities under the supervision of the Higher Education Service Institute of Region VI Central Java were not exceptions either. One of the private universities within that region, Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus), was also trusted to become the host of this dissemination on Thursday, October 2nd, 2024.

The dissemination was opened by a speech delivered by Dr. Bhimo Widyo Andoko, S.H., M.H., (the Head of the Higher Education Service Institute of Region VI Central Java), as well as the Chancellor of Udinus, which was represented by Dr. Kusni Ingsih, M.M., (the Vice Chancellor III of Student Affairs at Udinus). On that occasion, Prof. Dr. Ir. Sri Suning Kusumawardani, S.T., M.T., (the Director of Learning and Student Affairs) was also present to give insight through the Zoom Meeting platform.

During the dissemination, Prof. Kusumawardani explained that the Diploma Numbering and National Profession Certificate (PISN) app was an innovation that replaced its predecessor in numbering diplomas. The application of this app is mainly to simplify the process of monitoring students’ academic activities, from enrolment to graduation.

“The app will be integrated with the Data Reporting in the Database of Higher Education (PDDikti) so that it can be more accurate. Every student’s diploma numbering will be recorded, and none of them will slip away from our supervision or be similar to other students,” the professor explained.

Moreover, Dr. Bhimo Widyo Andoko, S.H., M.H., added that the system would provide legal certainty to students’ diplomas. This serves as a response to the abundance of fake diplomas over the past several years.

“We from the Higher Education Service Institute of Region VI Central Java will support the update of this system. The diploma of students who have completed their studies will be valid and recorded by the system to be verified,” Dr. Bhimo emphasized.

Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor III of Academic Affairs at Udinus also warmly welcomed the dissemination of the PISN app at all private universities in Central Java. According to her, the system would be useful in checking the validity of the diploma.

“Udinus is very supportive of this program, and we gladly became the host of this dissemination. Furthermore, it is also an honor for Udinus to be trusted by the Higher Education Service Institute of Region VI Central Java to host similar events,” she explained.

At the dissemination, all the representatives from private universities received insight from speakers from Belmawa, including Danny Prima Kresnala, and Rifqi A’zhom Muta’allimin. The dissemination of this PISN app is expected to give a deeper understanding to all universities in Central Java. This will allow students’ academic data to be more integrated, safe, and accurate.
