The Medicine Faculty (FK) at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) enhances its quality as an educational institution. This is proven by the fact that the Undergraduate Medical Department at Udinus has achieved the Very Good accreditation from the Independent Accreditation Board for Health Education (LAM-PTKes).
The accreditation is officially stated in the decree issued by the LAM-PTKes. It was numbered 0483/LAM-PTKes/Akr/Sar/IV/2025, which was officially published on April 26, 2025.
The Dean of the Medicine Faculty at Udinus, Dr. dr. Hendriani Selina, Sp. A(K), M.A.R.S., explained that the accomplishment could serve as a motivation to embody the visions of the Medicine Faculty, namely, as a primary and excellent choice in the medical field for young people.
The Medicine Faculty itself consists of the Undergraduate Medical Department and the Doctor Profession Program, with the former being accredited as Very Good, while the latter has the Good accreditation. Both of these departments are expected to consistently improve their quality, particularly in producing high-quality graduates, who will eventually contribute their services to the country.
"The results of this accreditation are indeed admirable, as they can serve as a starting point for the faculty to further improve its quality. In the future, we shall be committed to enhancing the quality of our various aspects, including academics, facilities, educational hospitals, and health centers, as well as our academicians or faculty members. Hopefully, through this accreditation, our graduates can be more competent, allowing them to refine the quality of the Indonesian medical field,” Hendriani emphasized.
In response to this achievement, the Rector of Udinus, Prof. Dr. Pulung Nurtantio Andono, S.T., M.Kom., expressed his pride in the accreditation earned by the Medicine Faculty at Udinus. According to him, the Primary Performance Index (IKU) from every department on campus must be supervised and further improved, including in terms of Human Resources (HR), as well as partnerships with hospitals and health centers as one of the primary aspects.
“There is still plenty room to improve upon this Very Good accreditation. However, this does not diminish the fact that the Very Good accreditation itself is something to be celebrated, as the Medicine Faculty itself has only been established for two years. Hopefully, we can commit ourselves to achieving better results,” she emphasized.
Prior to this, the Medicine Faculty at Udinus had conducted two field assessments for two different study programs or departments. A team consisting of assessors from the LAM-PTKes visited both departments in the faculty to assess them. The visit took place from March 19 to 22, 2025.
The assessment process consisted of a submission of documents concerning the Primary Performance Index (IKU). The opening of this assessment was attended by stakeholders. It was concluded with a visit to the supplementary hospital at the Medicine Faculty of Udinus. The assessors also gave feedback to the academic community as a form of evaluation to improve the quality of the Medicine Faculty. (Humas Udinus/Penulis: Haris. Editor: Nining. Foto: Humas Udinus)
