Muhammad Husni Azam, an alumnus of the Diploma of Medical Records and Information at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus), has always been passionate about the social and humanities sector. Azam is currently working as a Senior Staff at a non-government organization called ‘Aksi Cepat Tanggap’ (ACT).

As a Head of Volunteer (HoV), Azam is responsible for handling several regencies including, Jepara, Kudus, Pati, Rembang, and Blora. Recruiting volunteers and instructing them are his everyday job.

“The recruited volunteers will later form a structure, both in regency-level and subdistrict-level. Hopefully, these volunteers may resolve the humanity problems dwelling within the sub-district,” Azam explained.

Azam, an alumnus of the 2012 cohort, was once nominated as the National Top 10 Best Volunteers in the ACT. Despite having to drive from Jepara all the way to Pati, his spirit never faded away as he admitted that he got the passion during his campus life.

“The student organizations served as a platform for me to gather experience,” Azam uttered.

During his studies at Udinus, he was appointed as the Chief of the Medical Record and Information Student Association for the 2013-2014 period. In the following year, Azam was trusted to be the Head of Tobacco Free Community for the 2014-2015 period.

Azam, born on May 21, 1994, also worked in several hospitals namely Kumalasiwi Mother and Child Hospital in Jepara, Islamic Sultan Agung Hospital, and RA Kartini Hospital in Jepara. According to him, experiences in campus organizations might serve as a plus point in applying for a job.

Azam explained that his experience in campus organizations had granted him the privilege of learning communication skills to implement in his daily job. “You should probably use your spare time to be active in either campus organizations or the outside ones,” he concluded (Humas Udinus/Haris.
