The Executive Director of the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (BAN-PT) conducted a socialization concerning the new accreditation policies for Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus). The policies were listed on the Indonesian Government Regulation (Permendikbud) Ristek No. 53 of 2023 about Quality Assurance of College Institutions.

The socialization was led by Prof. H. Ari Purbayanto, Ph.D., to inform universities so they could understand and implement these new regulations. At the socialization, Prof. Dr. Ir. Edi Noersasongko, M.Kom., (the Chancellor of Udinus), all vice chancellors, and the whole academic community were present in the conference room located on the first floor of the H building at Udinus. The socialization was conducted on April 30th, 2024.

On that occasion, Prof. Ari emphasized that the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (BAN-PT) was preparing a new instrument lined with these new regulations. In addition, there would also be Information Technology Systems for all universities to understand these new regulations.

“The new regulations will be simpler so the general public can immediately understand. Also, through these regulations, universities will be able to improve their accreditations. These universities will also be given a target following the missions and standards of their departments. These standards have exceeded the national standard,” he uttered.

“Udinus has so far exceeded the national standard and will compete globally. Hopefully, Udinus can improve its capacity and Human Resources quality, allowing the campus to reach its goals following its ability,” he uttered.

Upon the socialization, Prof. Edi stated that the campus also received feedback from the director. In the future, there will be many aspects to be prepared and further learned. However, most of all, Udinus would soon put everything back in its place.

“I hereby express my gratitude to Prof. Ari for the feedback. From now on, we will steer our situation, and hopefully, our campus can be a more well-known private university for its expertise,” the chancellor concluded. (Humas Udinus/Alex. Foto: Humas Udinus)
