The Dian Nuswantoro Computer Club at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus) claimed victories in two different events. The club managed to gather three trophies at two national events in Jakarta and Semarang.

Two of those three trophies were brought at the 2019 IT Expo at Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The gold trophy was claimed by Muhammad Fikri, a Visual Communication Design Student, in a poster competition. Dandi Setiawan, a Communication Science Student, got the bronze medal.

Meanwhile, another trophy was gathered by a team from Udinus at the Informatic Competition Web Apps at Universitas Negeri Semarang. The team consisted of Muhammad Alfahur R, Fikri Diva S, and Kevin Indra M, three of whom are students of the Department of Informatics.

Dandi Setiawan, a medalist at the 2019 IT Expo, said that he successfully outclassed various works at the event. Additionally, in the process of making their poster, he and the team slipped a deep meaning behind the poster which aimed at the young generation.

“The poster depicts prominent figures in the field of technology, including William Henry ‘Bill’ Gates III and Mark Elliot Zuckerberg. We chose to portray them as they are inspirational to youths. The poster symbolizes that it is our turn to better the world,” he uttered.

These trophies serve as a token of accomplishments for making a name for the campus. Admadi Murti Wikana, the Chief of the Dian Nuswantoro Computer Club, was committed to improving the quality of their members through training programs and educating the public regarding technology. “We hold many divisions in this organization. We also routinely conduct training to hone our skills. In the future, we will aim to improve our performance and quality. The trophies we gathered this year serve as a trigger for us to be better,” Murti emphasized.
