“Having strong, professional, and honest work ethics is a must regardless of your workplace. Therefore, to get the desired job, you have to uphold those principles as everybody starts from zero to ascend to the top,” uttered Apriliana Wulansari, an alumna of the Undergraduate Accounting Study Program at Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (Udinus). Currently, Nana is knitting her career as a Sales Officer at Bank Jateng of Salatiga branch.

As a part of the Micro Service Unit, Nana, an alumna of the 2012 cohort, serves to market the Productive Credit aimed at small business owners. Every month, all sales officers are obliged to reach the target credit of Rp. 1 billion.

“To attract consumers, I normally canvas through their doors to introduce the benefits and advantages of our products,” Nana, born on April 5, 1994, in Grobogan, explained.

According to Nana, working as a sales officer was challenging since many people often underrate this position despite being important in every business. Through this profession, Nana could gain both connections and confidence.

“I have encountered countless obstacles as a sales officer such as competition with other companies. It is not an easy matter to attract consumers with our products; however, I could mitigate this problem by conducting an approach and giving benefits, advantages, and convenience to them,” Nana revealed.

Nana claimed that her current career is oriented toward her Bachelor of Accounting degree. Through the Department of Accounting at Udinus, she could learn microeconomics, business management, and interest calculation.

“Those skills are needed to provide consumers the most appropriate credit namely analyzing turnovers and characters, as well as giving extra attention to the current market share, particularly in these pandemic times,” she concluded. (Humas Udinus/ Haris. Foto: Dok. Pribadi)
